Marine polysaccharide laminarin embedded ZnO nanoparticles and their based chitosan capped ZnO nanocomposites: Synthesis, characterization and in vitro and in vivo toxicity assessment

Biogenic Preparation and Characterization of ZnO Nanoparticles from Natural PolysaccharideAzadirachta indica .L.(neem gum) and its Clinical Implications

Summary: The study conducted phytochemical analysis, synthesis, and characterization of zinc oxide nanoparticles (NG-ZnO NPs) using neem gum as a capping agent. The NG-ZnO NPs showed efficient antibacterial and antibiofilm activity, inhibited cell proliferation in a human liver cancer cell line, and exhibited potent mosquito larvicidal activity. These findings suggest that neem gum capped ZnO NPs have potential as nano biomedical agents for new drug formulations.

Summary: In this study, silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were synthesized using a green method and their cytotoxicity, phytotoxicity, and photocatalytic activity were evaluated. The green synthesized Ce-Ag NPs showed dose-dependent cytotoxicity against human normal keratinocyte and breast cancer cells. Additionally, Ce-Ag NPs had minimal impact on seed germination and plant growth of Mung beans, but affected Wheat seed germination and shoot length.
