Effect of dye structure on color removal efficiency by coagulation

Felix Mcyotto et al.

Summary: The study showed that the dye structures significantly affect the color removal efficiency by coagulation, and the best dye-coagulant combinations for dyes with the same structures and functional groups can enhance the removal efficiency. It was also found that dyes with the same auxochromes and charge exhibit similar color removal efficiency when treated with the same coagulant.

Breakthrough studies of the adsorption of lead from synthetic solution using Liagora viscida in a fixed bed column

Komarabathina Srikanth et al.

Summary: This study conducted adsorption experiments using Liagora viscida biosorbent under different bed heights and flow rates, achieving a maximum uptake of 53.90 mg/g. The breakthrough (t(b)) and exhaust times (t(s)) corresponding to 0.1 and 0.9, respectively. The experimental results indicated that all three models except the Bohart-Adams model showed good correlation with the experimental data.

Efficient and fast adsorption of methylene blue dye onto a nanosheet MFI zeolite

Yajun Ji et al.

Summary: The nanosheet MFI zeolite with ultrathin lamellar structure showed superior adsorption performance for methylene blue compared to the conventional ZSM-5 zeolite. Higher pH values favored the adsorption of methylene blue for both types of zeolite, with fast adsorption rates and shorter time to reach equilibrium.
