Social Context of Turnover-Mixed Methods Study of Indian IT Professionals

Summary: This study examines the influence of supervisors, peers, and family on turnover behavior in the IT outsourcing industry in India. Using mixed-methods research, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and longitudinal measurements. The findings show that family and supervisory justice play a critical role in the turnover process. Logistic regression analysis and structural equation modeling were utilized to explore the antecedents and explain the variances in turnover intentions and behavior. The study also offers insights into the relationship between intentions and behavior.

Mediation framework connecting knowledge contract, psychological contract, employee retention, and employee satisfaction: An empirical study
