Numerical performance of thermal conductivity in Bioconvection flow of cross nanofluid containing swimming microorganisms over a cylinder with melting phenomenon

Muhammad Imran et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of melting phenomena and non-linear thermal radiation in Cross nanofluid bioconvection flow with motile microorganisms over a cylinder. The mathematical model takes into account Brownian motion and thermophoresis diffusion. Numerical solutions and profiles analysis show that increasing mixed convection parameter estimates can enhance velocity, while increasing Prandtl number decreases temperature and nanoparticle concentration. A higher Peclet value is shown to lower the microorganism's profile.

Boiling flow of graphene nanoplatelets nano-suspension on a small copper disk

Marjan Goodarzi et al.

Summary: This study experimentally quantified the boiling heat transfer coefficient of graphene oxide-water nano-suspension in inflow boiling heat transfer regime and found that the presence of graphene oxide imposed extreme fouling thermal resistance to the surface, leading to a reduction in BHTC. Additionally, the sedimentation layer promoted the critical heat flux point while increasing heat flux and flow rate increased BHTC.

Nidal H. Abu-Hamdeh et al.

Summary: The study found that applying a helix angle in the helical micro double-tube heat exchanger can enhance heat transfer, with an optimal effect varying with Reynolds number. Increasing Reynolds number leads to higher overall heat transfer coefficient, pressure drop, and pumping power. Additionally, increasing pitch length decreases OHTC, pressure drop, and pumping power.
