Effects of Ni - substitution on structural, magnetic hyperthermia, photocatalytic and cytotoxicity study of MgFe2O4 nanoparticles

Ala Manohar et al.

Summary: Magnetic hyperthermia has shown potential importance in cancer treatment, and the synthesized Mg-doped Ni ferrite nanoparticles demonstrate good performance and application potential in magnetic hyperthermia. These nanoparticles also exhibit high photocatalytic activity for wastewater purification. Studies also indicate that the synthesized nanoparticles are biocompatible but possess toxicity in certain cancer cell lines.
