Glucose Sensing Based on the Interaction of Gold Nanoparticles@Linoleic Acid With the Glucose

Mahsa Nasehi et al.

Summary: We have successfully synthesized biologically compatible gold nanoparticles modified with linoleic acid, and conducted glucose sensing experiments using these nanoparticles. Our results show that the presence of linoleic acid degradation and auto-oxidation, as well as the catalytic properties of gold nanoparticles, enhance the sensitivity of glucose detection by 4.8 times compared to using linoleic acid alone.

Turning coordination environment of 2D nickel-based metal-organic frameworks by π-conjugated molecule for enhancing glucose electrochemical sensor performance

F. Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, Ni-based metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF) nanosheets were synthesized using a competitive double ligands hybridization strategy. These nanosheets were used as precursors to construct NiMOF@Ni-2,3,6,7,10,11-hexahydroxytriphenylene (HHTP) core@shell structures by introducing a pi conjugated molecule, HHTP. The interaction between Ni atoms and hexahydroxytriphenylene molecules was confirmed, and the electrochemical performance was enhanced by promoting more exposure of its active sites, leading to an increase in glucose detection sensitivity.

Core-shell composite N-doped-Co-MOF@polydopamine decorated with Ag nanoparticles for nonenzymatic glucose sensors

Xiurong Zhai et al.

Summary: A novel core-shell composite N-doped-Co-MOF@polydopamine (N-Co-MOF@PDA) decorated with Ag nanoparticles was synthesized and utilized to design a non-enzymatic glucose sensor. The composite material demonstrated excellent electrocatalytic oxidation performance for glucose due to the synergistic effect between N-Co-MOF and Ag nanoparticles. The sensor exhibited a wide linear range, low detection limit, good selectivity, long-term stability, and reproducibility. The practical applicability for glucose detection in human serum was also demonstrated. These findings suggest that the N-Co-MOF@PDA-Ag composite is a promising candidate for non-enzymatic sensor construction.
