Synergistic optimization promoted overall water splitting of CoSe@NiSe2@MoS2 heterostructured composites

Xiaoliang Shen et al.

Summary: The water splitting performance of CoSe@NiSe2@MoS2 composites varies with composition, with optimized CoSe@NiSe2@MoS2-12 showing good current density in alkaline conditions. The low voltage of the overall water splitting device at 10 mA cm(-2) is attributed to synergistic effects.

Rational design of FeOx-MoP@MWCNT composite electrocatalysts toward efficient overall water splitting

Aijian Wang et al.

Summary: A series of FeOx-MoP@MWCNT composite electrocatalysts were designed and prepared to investigate the influence of FeOx content on water splitting performance. The optimized FeOx-MoP@MWCNTs-2 demonstrated excellent activity for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions, achieving a cell voltage of 1.51 V and outstanding stability due to the synergistic effect of each component, as confirmed by experimental and density functional theory results. The observed electrocatalytic activity surpassed current state-of-the-art non-precious metal electrocatalysts.

Enhanced optical limiting and hydrogen evolution of graphene oxide nanohybrids covalently functionalized by covalent organic polymer based on porphyrin

Aijian Wang et al.

Summary: A novel graphene oxide nanohybrid covalently functionalized by covalent organic polymer based on porphyrin was reported for optical limiting and hydrogen evolution reaction catalysis. The nanohybrid showed significantly enhanced optical limiting and HER activity compared to individual components, with performance comparable to state-of-the-art materials. Synergistic effects and charge transfer between GO and TPPCOP were identified as important factors determining the optical limiting and HER performance.
