A Nanostructured Phthalocyanine/Albumin Supramolecular Assembly for Fluorescence Turn-On Imaging and Photodynamic Immunotherapy

Summary: The study successfully developed smart phototheranostic nanomaterials NanoPcM for low-background and tumor-targeted fluorescence imaging, as well as superior immunogenic photodynamic therapy against solid tumors. The combination of NanoPcM-based PDT and alpha PD-I-based immunotherapy efficiently inhibited tumor growth and triggered abscopal effects. This approach shows promise for the future design of nanomaterials in cancer imaging and therapy.
