A Review of Binderless Polycrystalline Diamonds: Focus on the High-Pressure-High-Temperature Sintering Process

Jeremy Guignard et al.

Summary: There are various methods to synthesize diamonds industrially, with the high-pressure-high-temperature (HP-HT) process being the most commonly used. Traditional diamond compacts contain binder, limiting their properties and applications, while binderless diamond compacts have superior properties and a large market potential. However, the sintering conditions for binderless diamonds still need to be optimized for industrial transfer.
