Genome-wide characterization and function analysis uncovered roles of wheat LIMs in responding to adverse stresses and TaLIM8-4D function as a susceptible gene

Yiting Li et al.

Summary: This study identified and named 28 members of the LIM family in wheat, TaLIMs, and found that TaLIMs are rich in elements related to stress. Some of these members responded to biotic and abiotic stresses, and TaLIM8-4D was found to induce cell death in the nucleus and upregulate pathogenesis-related genes to promote infection by a hemibiotrophic pathogen.
