Summary: COFs are crystalline porous polymers known for their chemical stability and porosity, making them promising materials for removing toxic heavy metal ions, radionuclides, and organic pollutants efficiently. Various interaction mechanisms between pollutants and COF materials, as well as the adsorption properties of COF-based materials compared to other adsorbents, have been studied and summarized.
