The results showed that the combination of IFPSC, CSPN hydrogel, and PRP can synergistically enhance chondrogenic and osteogenic gene expression, cartilage- and bone-specific extracellular matrix production, hyaline cartilage regeneration, and mineralized osseous tissue formation. These findings have important implications for the application of regenerative medicine.

DLP fabricating of precision GelMA/HAp porous composite scaffold for bone tissue engineering application

Stratified-structural hydrogel incorporated with magnesium-ion-modified black phosphorus nanosheets for promoting neuro-vascularized bone regeneration

Collagen's primary structure determines collagen:HSP47 complex stoichiometry

Summary: Collagens require the specific chaperone HSP47 for proper folding and secretion. This study characterized high-affinity binding sites for HSP47 using a collagen II peptide library and revealed the importance of large hydrophobic amino acids such as phenylalanine in enhancing binding strength. The crystal structures of HSP47 bound to peptides containing phenylalanine or leucine showed local conformational rearrangements and altered binding stoichiometry, providing insight into the formation of higher oligomeric complexes at promiscuous collagen-binding sites.
