Summary: The ply structure significantly affects the impact resistance and failure behavior of composite laminates. Increasing the Kevlar hybrid ratio improves the impact absorption energy and ductility of the laminates. A Kevlar asymmetric-hybrid ratio of 25% is recommended for optimal peak strength and structural resilience.
