Summary: This study evaluated the performance and cost of the HandX device in TAPP inguinal hernia repairs, comparing it with the DaVinci robotic platform. The results showed that the HandX device had comparable performance in mesh fixation and peritoneal closure to the DaVinci system, with lower direct costs.
