Exploring the Preference for Fatigue-avoidance Goals as a Mediator Between Pain Catastrophizing, Functional Impairment, and Walking Behavior in Women With Fibromyalgia

Lilian Velasco et al.

Summary: The study revealed a strong association between pain catastrophizing and preference for fatigue-avoidance goals, with the latter being linked to greater functional impairment and reduced walking distance. Pain catastrophizing was found to predict a higher preference for fatigue-avoidance goals, which in turn led to increased functional problems and decreased walking distance.
