Comprehensive review on catalytic degradation of Cl-VOCs under the practical application conditions

Fawei Lin et al.

Summary: This review provides a holistic perspective on the progress and achievements in catalytic degradation of chlorinated volatile organic compounds (Cl-VOCs), focusing on six representative Cl-VOCs and summarizing their degradation efficiency, long-term stability, and the effects of water and other components. Strategies for alleviating Cl poisoning are also highlighted to guide the development of catalysts for efficient elimination of Cl-VOCs under practical application conditions.

Biotemplate Fabrication of Hollow Tubular CexSr1-xTiO3 with Regulable Surface Acidity and Oxygen Mobility for Efficient Destruction of Chlorobenzene: Intrinsic Synergy Effect and Reaction Mechanism

Yukun Sun et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the synthesis of ternary CexSr1-xTiO3 catalysts with elegant chlorine resistance and organic byproduct inhibition capability using the hollow tubular-structured fruit hair of Platanus as the biotemplate. The catalysts exhibit high concentration of oxygen vacancy and acid sites, promoting C-Cl cleavage and desorption of inorganic chlorine. Additionally, the tubular structure accelerates the flow rate of chlorobenzene and reduces the residence time of byproducts.

Catalytic oxidation of chlorinated volatile organic compounds over Mn-Ti composite oxides catalysts: Elucidating the influence of surface acidity

Hao Liu et al.

Summary: The reducibility and surface acidity of Mn-Ti composite oxides were controlled by adjusting the Mn/Ti molar ratio, impacting their catalytic activity for the deep oxidation of vinyl chloride. It was found that the catalyst surface acidity played a decisive role in the oxidation process, while Lewis acidic sites from Ti species also influenced the catalytic activity.

Enhanced performance of low Pt loading amount on Pt-CeO2 catalysts prepared by adsorption method for catalytic ozonation of tolueney

Jialing Wang et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that the supported catalyst of Pt-CeO2/BEA with low loading amount of Pt nanoparticles exhibited competitive activity towards catalytic ozonation of toluene. Enhanced Pt-CeO2 strong metal-support interaction, smaller and more uniform Pt nanoparticles formation, and increased oxygen vacancies and peroxide species were found to potentially contribute to the improved catalytic performance. Plausible reaction pathways for the involving reactions on catalyst surface were proposed based on in-situ Raman analysis.

Ru surface density effect on ammonia synthesis activity and hydrogen poisoning of ceria-supported Ru catalysts

Bingyu Lin et al.

Summary: This study examines the impact of Ru surface density on the catalytic performance of Ru/CeO2 catalysts for ammonia synthesis. Results show that the interaction between Ru and CeO2, as well as the aggregation state of Ru species, significantly influence the catalytic activity and hydrogen poisoning of the catalyst. Catalyst samples with specific Ru surface densities demonstrate high activity for ammonia synthesis.
