Selective Synthesis of Bis-Heterocycles via Mono- and Di-Selenylation of Pyrazoles and Other Heteroarenes

Jaspreet Kour et al.

Summary: The insertion of selenium in the form of mono-selenides and di-selenides was used for the preparation of novel bis-heterocyclic compounds. This method is more general and provides a diverse scaffold with high product yields. The selectivity of the mono- and di-selenylation reactions, which is dependent on concentration, was achieved using SeO2 as an effective selenylating reagent.

One-pot Synthesis of Pd/Azo-polymer as an Efficient Catalyst for 4-Nitrophenol Reduction and Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling Reaction

Yanlin Yu et al.

Summary: A one-pot method was used to prepare palladium complexed with azo porous organic polymer nanospheres, which exhibited high catalytic activity and cycling stability in both 4-nitrophenol reduction and Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reactions. The unique structure of the material promoted the formation of a uniform active center and improved electron transfer, resulting in efficient catalysis and high yields in the reactions.

Oxidative Ritter-type Chloroamidation of Alkenes Using NaCl and Oxone

Takehiro Kato et al.

Summary: The reported method is a practical and environmentally friendly approach for the oxidative Ritter-type chloroamidation of alkenes using sodium chloride and oxone in acetonitrile under mild conditions. The reaction shows excellent chemoselectivity and can be easily scaled up for synthesis. No catalyst is needed for this non-aqueous reaction.
