Surface Modifications of Carbon Fiber Electrodes for Structural Supercapacitors

Joaquin Artigas-Arnaudas et al.

Summary: The study fabricated structural electrodes for supercapacitors based on woven carbon fiber using different surface modification approaches. Among these approaches, the synthesis of CAG resulted in the highest capacitance but negatively affected mechanical properties. Combining increased surface area of commercial carbon fiber fabric and deposition of GNP by spray coating achieved the best combination of mechanical and electrochemical properties.
