A predator-prey system with generalized Holling type IV functional response and Allee effects in prey

Alessandro Arsie et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the interaction between Holling type IV functional response and both strong and weak Allee effects, revealing complex dynamics and high codimension bifurcations in the model studied. The discovery of three limit cycles in predator-prey models with multiplicative Allee effects is particularly noteworthy, along with the analysis of nilpotent cusp singularity of order 3 and degenerate Hopf bifurcation of codimension 3. This work extends existing results on predator-prey systems with Allee effects, providing biological interpretations of predator-prey interactions through bifurcation analysis and diagrams.

Optimal Harvesting of Stochastic Population Models with Periodic Coefficients

Meng Liu

Summary: This report aims to find a workable approach to studying the optimal harvesting problems of periodic stochastic population models, as traditional approaches are invalidated due to the models' inhomogeneity. By using the stochastic periodic solution of the model as a bridge, the explicit forms of the optimal harvesting effort and the maximum sustained yield for a periodic stochastic Gompertz model are obtained. This approach can also be applied to research multi-species models.

Stationary distribution of a stochastic predator-prey model with hunting cooperation

Haokun Qi et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a stochastic predator-prey model with hunting cooperation and nonlinear perturbation of white noise. Sufficient criteria for the existence of a unique ergodic stationary distribution are established by constructing suitable Lyapunov functions. It is revealed that the white noise significantly impacts the dynamical behavior of the model.

Permanence, Extinction and Periodicity to a Stochastic Competitive Model with Infinite Distributed Delays

Chunyan Ji et al.

Summary: This paper investigates a stochastic Lotka-Volterra competitive model with infinite distributed delays, providing conditions for permanence and extinction of species, as well as discussing competitive exclusion and the existence and uniqueness of a stationary Markov process. The results not only cover traditional models without noise, but also consider the impact of noise on dynamics, and address challenges related to periodic solutions with periodic coefficients through a stochastic comparison approach.

Threshold behavior of a stochastic predator-prey system with prey refuge and fear effect

Haokun Qi et al.

Summary: The paper investigates the threshold behavior of a stochastic predator-prey system with various factors, and finds ways to improve the survival rates of prey and predator. Prey survival rate can be enhanced by strengthening refuge, reducing fear cost or decreasing white noise intensity, while predator survival rate can be increased by weakening refuge strength, increasing fear cost or reducing white noise intensity.

Analysis of a Stochastic Competitive Model with Saturation Effect and Distributed Delay

Wenxu Ning et al.

Summary: This study focuses on a novel stochastic competitive model with saturation effect and distributed delay, incorporating two coupling noise sources and showing saturation effect in delayed terms of interspecific competition. The results reveal that coupling noise sources can significantly alter the survival outcomes of two species and impact the existence of a unique stationary distribution.

Dynamics and simulations of a second order stochastically perturb e d SEIQV epidemic model with saturated incidence rate

Chun Lu et al.

Summary: This paper studies a second order stochastically perturbed SEIQV epidemic model. Sufficient criteria for the existence and uniqueness of an ergodic stationary distribution of positive solutions are derived by establishing a suitable stochastic Lyapunov function. Adequate conditions for eradicating the infectious disease based on the basic reproduction number of the deterministic model are obtained. The equilibrium stability is investigated by combining Hasminskii stability theory with Lyapunov function, presenting a new method applicable to classical epidemic models.

The impact of hospital resources and environmental perturbations to the dynamics of SIRS model

Guijie Lan et al.

Summary: Incorporating environmental perturbations and resources, deterministic and stochastic SIRS models exhibit rich dynamics with possibilities of disease eradication or persistence. Deterministic models show possibilities of disease eradication or persistence, while stochastic models highlight the importance of randomness in disease persistence.

Influence of the fear factor on the dynamics of a stochastic predator-prey model

Qun Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, a stochastic predator-prey system is constructed and analyzed, with criteria for the existence and uniqueness of an ergodic stationary distribution of positive solutions established using suitable Lyapunov functions. The existence of a stationary distribution indicates long-term persistence and coexistence of both prey and predator species.
