Influence of Parameters of Optical Fibers on Optical Soliton Interactions

Qin Zhou

Summary: The interaction between optical solitons plays a crucial role in studying the interaction between light and matter, as well as the development of all-optical devices and the design of integrated optical paths. This study investigates the interaction of optical solitons based on the nonlinear Schrodinger equation, aiming to improve communication quality and system integration. By deriving solutions to the equation, the interaction of two solitons is analyzed, and suggestions are proposed to weaken their interactions.

Painleve analysis, auto-Backlund transformation and analytic solutions of a (2+1)-dimensional generalized Burgers system with the variable coefficients in a fluid

Tian-Yu Zhou et al.

Summary: This paper investigates a (2+1)-dimensional generalized Burgers system with variable coefficients in a fluid. It obtains the Painleve-integrable constraints of the system with respect to the variable coefficients. Based on truncated Painleve expansions, an auto-Backlund transformation is constructed, along with soliton solutions. Multiple kink solutions are derived using truncated Painleve expansions. Breather solutions, half-periodic kink solutions, and hybrid solutions composed of breathers and kink waves are obtained via complex-conjugate transformation.

Taking into consideration an extended coupled (2+1)-dimensional Burgers system in oceanography, acoustics and hydrodynamics

Xin-Yi Gao et al.

Summary: This paper investigates certain wave processes in oceanography, acoustics, or hydrodynamics. By studying an extended coupled (2+1)-dimensional Burgers system, it is found that the system passes the Painleve test and two sets of similarity reductions are obtained through symbolic computation. Each set relies on the coefficients in the system and can be transformed into a known ordinary differential equation.

Effective amplification of optical solitons in high power transmission systems

Qin Zhou et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the effective amplification of optical solitons in high-power transmission systems using a nonlinear Schrodinger equation. Three soliton solutions are analytically constructed and their interaction characteristics are analyzed. The study also examines the influence of parallel and nonparallel propagation on soliton amplification. The findings contribute to improving the transmission distance of optical solitons in high-power transmission systems.

Summary: This paper discusses the search for embedded solitons in discrete systems with quadratic and cubic nonlinearities, constructing these solitons using analytical approximations and numerical calculations. Various types of discrete embedded solitons are produced, and it is found that some of them exhibit linear stability, making them genuinely robust modes.
