Composition and temperature dependent structural investigation of the perovskite-type sodium-ion solid electrolyte series Na1/2-xLa1/2-xSr2xZrO3

Frederick Z. T. Yang et al.

Summary: Crystalline perovskite-type metal oxides are promising solid electrolytes for all-solid-state batteries due to their vast chemical and structural flexibility. The Na1/2-xLa1/2-xSr2xZrO3 series has the highest reported ionic conductivities, with some members found to exhibit orthorhombic symmetry. Temperature-dependent structural changes were studied for the member of the series with the highest reported ionic conductivity, revealing a phase transition at 800 degrees C.

Perovskite Na-ion conductors developed from analogous Li3xLa2/3-xTiO3 (LLTO): chemo-mechanical and defect engineering

Yu-Ying Lin et al.

Summary: This study developed new perovskite-structured Na-ion conductors with enhanced Na-ion conductivity through strategies of chemo-mechanical and defect engineering. The results showed that the modified NLZ and NLBZ had higher Na-ion conductivities compared to LLTO, with the majority of the conductivity contributed by sodium ions in controlled environments. Factors limiting Na-ion transport were also identified during the research.
