Texture tolerance to B-site valence mismatch for [001] textured Pb97.5%Ba2.5%[(Zn1/3Nb2/3) (1-x)-Tix]O3 transparent ceramics

Mengmeng Hao et al.

Summary: Textured Pb97.5%Ba2.5% [(Zn1/3Nb2/3) ((1-x))-Ti-x]O-3 ceramics were successfully achieved using BaTiO3 template, with Ti4+ content influencing the texture degree significantly. A minimum of 9% Ti4+ content is required for texture growth, with optimized properties reached at around 9%. The research provides insights into texture growth and aids in the design of multi-functional devices.

Microstructure evolution and reaction mechanism of Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3-Pb (Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 piezoelectric ceramics with plate-like PbTiO3 template

Leilei Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the microstructure evolution and reaction mechanism between the matrix and plate-like PT template in PZNNT ceramics. It was found that the plate-like PT template decomposed at high temperatures and reacted with the PZNNT matrix, but did not contribute to grain growth orientation. The thermal stability of the plate-like template was identified as a key factor in fabricating textured piezoelectric ceramics.

Microstructure, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of Bi4Ti3O12 platelet incorporated 0.36BiScO3-0.64PbTiO3 thick films for high temperature piezoelectric device applications

Summary: The study found that incorporating BiT template can optimize the grain growth and densification of BS-PT thick films, leading to improved piezoelectric properties and sintering structure. Despite the presence of micro-pores during preparation, the BiT-incorporated BS-PT thick film still exhibited excellent piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties.
