Nucleation of diamond films on heterogeneous substrates: a review

Soumen Mandal

Summary: Diamond thin films, similar to bulk diamond, have applications in various fields. Techniques for diamond nucleation and seeding, such as electrostatic seeding and bias enhanced nucleation, are discussed for different substrates. Each technique has its own advantages and disadvantages depending on the substrate material and requirements.
