Parents' Perceptions and Engagement Regarding School-Based Physical Activity Promotion

Collin A. Webster et al.

Summary: This study explored parents' perceptions of and engagement in school-based physical activity promotion in the United States. The results showed that parents' perceived importance of physical activity before and after school, along with communication with administrators and participation in school-based physical activity, significantly influence parents' behaviors. Further research and advocacy should highlight the importance of school-based physical activity opportunities before and after school.
