Cytokine dysregulation in children with cerebral palsy

Zunera Zareen et al.

Summary: Children with cerebral palsy showed altered cytokine responses compared with age-matched controls, indicating a potential target for therapy to address ongoing sequelae. The study found significantly higher erythropoietin levels in children with CP at baseline, as well as hyporesponsiveness to lipopolysaccharide for certain cytokines.
