Enhanced recombinant Sulfurihydrogenibium yellowstonense carbonic anhydrase activity and thermostability by chaperone GroELS for carbon dioxide biomineralization

Sefli Sri Wahyu Effendi et al.

Summary: The study explores the use of chaperone GroELS and TrxA-tag to enhance soluble expression of recombinant Sulfurihydrogenibium yellowstonense CA for carbon dioxide conversion. Co-expression of GroELS driven by J23100 promoter led to a significant increase in soluble protein production and CA activity. The involvement of TrxA fusion tag further boosted the soluble protein production and thermostability of SyCA, ultimately improving carbon dioxide conversion efficiency.
