Asymptotic expansions for a degenerate canard explosion

Bo-Wei Qin et al.

Summary: In this work, a new type of canard explosion phenomenon is introduced, where the canard cycle is not caused by a Hopf bifurcation but by a nonlinear nilpotent center perturbation. An algorithm is developed to find the asymptotic expansions for this type of canard explosion, providing high-order analytical approximations of the critical value.
