Assessing light flex-fuel vehicle emissions with ethanol/gasoline blends along an urban corridor: A case of Fortaleza/Brazil

Summary: Brazil is the 9th largest producer of vehicles in the world, with a majority of Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFVs). Fortaleza city/Brazil has implemented Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems to improve traffic factors. A comprehensive impact evaluation of FFVs traveling on BRT corridors was conducted, measuring emissions under real-world traffic conditions. Results showed that CO2 was the most emitted gas, with the highest CO release occurring with E85 blend.
