Photocatalytic production of H2O2 from water and dioxygen only under visible light using organic polymers: Systematic study of the effects of heteroatoms

Hyejin Kim et al.

Summary: This study designed organic photocatalysts that can produce H2O2 without organic electron donors. The incorporation of O and P elements in CN structure (CNO, CNP, CNOP) increases visible light absorption and hinders photodecomposition of H2O2, leading to CNOP exhibiting the highest production of H2O2 using dioxygen, water, and visible light only.

Caesium sites coordinated in Boron-doped porous and wrinkled graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets for efficient charge carrier separation and Transfer: Photocatalytic H2 and H2O2 production

Tahereh Mahvelati-Shamsabadi et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized a highly efficient visible-light-driven photocatalyst for hydrogen evolution and H2O2 production by manipulating the electronic band structure and surface properties of g-C3N4. The optimized B, Cs co-doped g-C3N4 nanosheets showed significantly improved hydrogen evolution and hydrogen peroxide production rates, as well as high photooxidation ability. The enhanced photocatalytic performance is attributed to the synergistic effect of co-doping and formation of porous and wrinkled nanosheets, which provide increased accessible reaction sites.
