Chiral Methylbenzylammonium Bismuth Iodide with Zero-Dimensional Perovskite Derivative Structure

Parikshit Kumar Rajput et al.

Summary: Chiral hybrid metal halide perovskites combine chirality induced by the organic sublattice with optoelectronic properties from the inorganic sublattice. In this study, a zero-dimensional Pb-free perovskite derivative structure was reported, showing enantiomerically pure organic molecules inducing chirality in the inorganic sublattice. The material exhibited chiroptical properties, excitonic and shallow-defect emissions, and ultrafast exciton many-body interactions. These findings contribute to the development of next-generation Pb-free perovskites for chiral optoelectronics.

Spectral characterization of the Rashba spin-split band in a lead halide perovskite single crystal by photocurrent heterodyne interference spectroscopy

Yoshihiro Ogawa et al.

Summary: Utilizing heterodyne interference spectroscopy, we investigated the temperature dependence of the complex dielectric susceptibility spectrum of a perovskite CH3NH3PbBr3 single crystal. We observed two peaks below the exciton transition at the R point in the imaginary part of the spectrum, with different temperature dependences compared to the direct-transition exciton energy. The trends in both splitting width and peak intensities can be explained by the presence of a Rashba spin-split band.
