Parahydrogen hyperpolarization of minimally altered urine samples for sensitivity enhanced NMR metabolomics

Kerti Ausmees et al.

Summary: Parahydrogen hyperpolarization significantly enhances NMR sensitivity in urine analysis when samples are prepared using solid phase extraction (SPE). A different approach that minimizes sample alteration before analysis has been proposed, allowing for a wider range of metabolites to be retained and facilitating more universal hyperpolarized NMR metabolomics of low abundance metabolites.
