In-situ deposition of POMA/ZnO nanorods array film by vapor phase polymerization for detection of trace ammonia in human exhaled breath at room temperature

Rui Gao et al.

Summary: Poly-o-methoxyaniline (POMA)/ZnO composite with uniform and dense POMA film on the surface of ZnO nanorods array film was prepared by in-situ vapor phase polymerization. The composite showed the best response at 40 min polymerization time, with a response of 8.88 to 100 ppm ammonia and a recovery time of 136 s. The low detection limit of 0.01 ppm and fast recovery time make the sensor have broad application prospects.
