Studies on Ni-SnO2 Nanocomposites for Humidity Sensing Application

Mrudul Modak et al.

Summary: This study reports the successful synthesis of nickel-doped tin oxide nanoparticles and characterizes their structural, morphological, and optical properties. It is found that nickel doping improves the humidity sensing performance of the material, making it more sensitive to a wide range of relative humidity from 10% to 100% at room temperature.

Investigation of brightness and decay characteristics of YAG:Ce3+, Ca-α-Sialon:Eu2+ and CaAl12O19:Mn4+ phosphors incorporated with Ni-doped SnO2 particles

Merve Zeyrek Ongun

Summary: In this study, the addition of light-harvesting Ni-doped SnO2 particles was found to enhance the brightness and intensity values of YAG:Ce3+, Ca-alpha-Sialon:Eu2+, and CaAl12O19:Mn4+ phosphors, with measurements of decay characteristics in microsecond and nanosecond time scales. Results indicate that in a polymeric matrix, Ni-doped SnO2 particles and phosphors act as donor and acceptor, respectively.

Sol-gel derived Li and Mg incorporated nickel oxide particles: An investigation on structural and optical properties

Salih Alper Akalin et al.

Summary: NiOx, Li:NiOx, and Li,Mg:NiOx powders were produced by sol-gel method, and their structural and optical properties were studied. XPS results confirmed the successful incorporation of Li+ and Mg2+ into NiOx structure, with decreased crystallite size as dopant concentration increased. Addition of Li+ and Mg2+ led to reduced emission intensity and average decay time compared to pristine NiOx.

Porphyrin based metal-organic frameworks: highly sensitive materials for optical sensing of oxygen in gas phase

Tobias Burger et al.

Summary: The optical oxygen sensing capabilities of porphyrin-based metal-organic frameworks were studied, revealing high oxygen permeability and bimolecular quenching constants. The frameworks showed exceptional gas transport, large pore sizes, and effective isolation of the sensing indicators. These materials have potential applications in detecting oxygen in trace and ultra-trace ranges.
