New Developments in Prokinetic Therapy for Gastric Motility Disorders

Michael Camilleri et al.

Summary: Prokinetic agents enhance gastrointestinal muscular contractions to improve transit of intra-luminal content. Metoclopramide is the only FDA-approved medication for gastroparesis in the United States, while domperidone can be prescribed through a special program.
