Synthesis of High-Quality Mg-MOF-74 Thin Films via Vapor-Assisted Crystallization

Ki-Joong Kim et al.

Summary: Mg-MOF-74, known for its high CO2 uptake, can be synthesized into high-quality films using the VAC process. By optimizing precursor solutions and investigating synthesis parameters like temperature, time, and droplet volume, the growth, crystallinity, and thickness of VAC Mg-MOF-74 films can be affected. These films exhibit well-defined microporosity and stable adsorption behavior across a range of CO2 concentrations.
