Immobilization studies of a pectinase produced byAspergillus terreus

Raissa Pieroni Vaz et al.

Summary: Aspergillus terreuscan produces different holocellulose-degrading enzymes with predominant pectinase activity when grown in sugarcane bagasse. Purified and immobilized pectinase showed improved activity, higher thermostability, and reusability for industrial applications. The potential of immobilized pectinase in industry was demonstrated, although further studies are needed.

A Health-Friendly Strategy for Covalent-Bonded Immobilization of Pectinase on the Functionalized Glass Beads

Seyed Saeid Hosseini et al.

Summary: In this study, pectinase was immobilized on glass beads using two different cross-linkers: polyaldehyde pullulan and glutaraldehyde. The polyaldehyde pullulan showed better immobilization efficiency and stability compared to glutaraldehyde, while both systems exhibited similar temperature stability. The results suggest that polyaldehyde pullulan could be a promising alternative to glutaraldehyde for enzyme immobilization.
