Cone-beam computed tomography observation of maxillary first premolar canal shapes

Takafumi Yoza et al.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the branching and shapes of roots of maxillary first premolars using CBCT images, with a focus on age-related changes. The findings revealed that the occurrence of the two-canal type increased with age in maxillary first premolars, suggesting that CBCT can be a useful tool for determining root canal morphology with complex shapes.
