Prevalence and Associated Factors of Problematic Smartphone Use During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Bangladeshi Study

Summary: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the prevalence of problematic smartphone use among Bangladeshi students was as high as 86.9%, with factors such as being a medical student, being in a relationship, engaging in less physical activity, prolonged internet use, specific internet purposes, depression, and anxiety significantly associated with higher PSU scores. The study recommended strategies or policies for reducing students' risk and promoting healthy smartphone use.
