Patients with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Greatly Improved Fatigue Symptoms When Treated with Oxygen-Ozone Autohemotherapy

Umberto Tirelli et al.

Summary: This study found that ozone treatment can significantly improve fatigue symptoms in ME/CFS patients without any side effects. Almost half of the treated patients showed improvement in fatigue scores from worst to best within 30 days, and the majority of patients experienced significant relief from fatigue.

Extrahypothalamic Control of Energy Balance and Its Connection with Reproduction: Roles of the Amygdala

Rafael Pineda et al.

Summary: Body energy and metabolic homeostasis are tightly controlled by multiple regulatory mechanisms, connected with reproductive signals and amygdala pathways for the integral control of energy balance and gonadal function. This article aims to summarize the role of the amygdala as a key brain region in emotional learning, behavior, and reward processing, in the physiological control of feeding and energy balance.

A Proposal for a Unifying Set of Definitions of Fatigue

Simon Skau et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a set of unifying definitions that are useful in all areas of fatigue research while remaining neutral to various theories about fatigue. By establishing 13 distinct definitions of fatigue and fatigue-related phenomena, it helps facilitate communication between different researchers, link phenomena from divergent research fields together, facilitate application and knowledge production.

Relationship between Cardiopulmonary, Mitochondrial and Autonomic Nervous System Function Improvement after an Individualised Activity Programme upon Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Patients

Slawomir Kujawski et al.

Summary: This study examined the impact of an Individualised Activity Program (IAP) on cardiovascular, mitochondrial, and fatigue parameters in chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) patients. The results showed that IAP significantly reduced fatigue and improved functional performance, but caution is needed as exercise was not well tolerated by 51% of patients.

Ozone in Medicine. The Low-Dose Ozone Concept and Its Basic Biochemical Mechanisms of Action in Chronic Inflammatory Diseases

Renate Viebahn-Haensler et al.

Summary: Low-dose ozone can act as a bioregulator in chronic inflammatory diseases by improving oxidative stress and redox signaling. It works through two mechanisms: direct for topical treatments and indirect for systemic treatments, providing potential benefits in regulating antioxidants and modulating cytokines.
