Simulation of hydrogenated amorphous silicon: temperature dependence of nonequilibrium distribution functions for trap states

Azuma Suzuki

Summary: The study derived nonequilibrium distribution functions for trap states in hydrogenated amorphous silicon under photoillumination and zero bias voltage. The temperature dependence of the distribution functions was found to decrease with increasing temperature, contrary to the equilibrium distribution functions for trap states. This new physical characteristic can be applied to explain the temperature dependence of photoconductivity in a-Si:H.
