RNA m6A Modification Functions in Larval Development and Caste Differentiation in Honeybee (Apis mellifera)

Miao Wang et al.

Summary: The study revealed that different diets impact the m(6)A methylation dynamics of honeybee larvae and showed that worker larvae contain more hypermethylated m(6)A peaks than queen larvae. Chemical suppression of m(6)A methylation triggered worker larvae to develop queen features, demonstrating the functional impact of m(6)A on caste differentiation and larval development.
