Poly(p-xylene disulfide) and poly(p-xylene tetrasulfide): synthesis, cure and investigation of mechanical and thermophysical properties

Milad Sheydaei et al.

Summary: This work investigated the effects of increasing sulfur content in polymer structures through the synthesis and curing of two polysulfide polymers. The results showed that in noncured samples, increasing sulfur content led to increased solubility and decreased hardness, while in cured samples, increasing sulfur content improved hardness and mechanical properties due to an increase in crosslinks.

Chloride ion storage performance of polyaniline/graphene nanocomposite in aqueous sodium chloride solution

Tiantian Zhu et al.

Summary: The nanomaterial PANI/GN, developed as a new chloride ion storage electrode in aqueous sodium chloride solution, exhibits highly reversible electrochemical stability and competitive electrochemical properties with a reversible capacity of 126 mA h g(-1), a coulombic efficiency of more than 95% and a high rate capability compared to previously reported electrodes. The anionic chloride species in the PANI/GN electrode is shown to be electrochemically active.
