This study reports an argon-assisted spray-coating process for fabricating perovskite solar cells (PSCs), achieving high quality perovskite films by optimizing nucleation and crystallization. The optimal device achieved a power conversion efficiency of 16.34% with good long-term stability.
Due to toxic antisolvents, low material utilization rate, and limitations in scalable fabrication, the spin-coating method is unsuitable for the practical application of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). This work reports an argon-assisted spray-coating process for fabricating mesoporous MAPbI3 PSCs in ambient air. We obtained pinhole-free and uniform perovskite films by optimizing the nucleation and crystallization. The optimal device's power conversion efficiency (PCE) reached 16.34% with long-time shelf stability.
