SnO2/TiO2 Electron Transporting Bilayers: A Route to Light Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

Mousa Abuhelaiqa et al.

Summary: Perovskite solar cells have driven a paradigm shift in photovoltaic research, but device stability remains a challenge. This study investigates the degradation at the ETL/perovskite interface, finding that SnO2 and TiO2/SnO2 ETLs show long-term stability compared to TiO2. SnO2 exhibits a passivation effect in the bilayered ETL configuration, suppressing charge recombination and enhancing optical durability.

Ambient Stable and Efficient Monolithic Tandem Perovskite/PbS Quantum Dots Solar Cells via Surface Passivation and Light Management Strategies

Mohammad Mahdi Tavakoli et al.

Summary: Highly efficient and stable monolithic perovskite/PbS quantum dots tandem solar cells are reported, with a single cell PSC achieving a maximum PCE of 22.15% and QD devices with an improved open-circuit voltage and a PCE of 8.46%. Tandem devices with stabilized PCEs of 17.1% and 21.1% are achieved, with the 2T tandem device showing the highest efficiency reported in the literature for this design and excellent operational stability over 500 hours under continuous illumination.

Copolymer-Templated Nickel Oxide for High-Efficiency Mesoscopic Perovskite Solar Cells in Inverted Architecture

Faranak Sadegh et al.

Summary: This study introduces a mesoscopic NiOx scaffold formed using a triblock copolymer template-assisted strategy for use as a hole transport layer in inverted perovskite solar cells, achieving high efficiency and stability. The templated NiOx structure promotes perovskite film growth, leading to better surface coverage and larger grains, ultimately improving charge extraction and transportation while suppressing recombination. The resulting efficiency of 20.2% with minimal hysteresis is among the highest for mesoscopic inverted PSCs using NiOx films.

Effect of bromine doping on the charge transfer, ion migration and stability of the single crystalline MAPb(BrxI1-x)3 photodetector

Apurba Mahapatra et al.

Summary: The study investigated the effect of Br doping on the stability and physical properties of MAPb(BrxI1-x)(3) based photodetectors by preparing a series of single crystals with varying Br content. The research demonstrated that all the photodetectors showed the highest photoresponse under white light, with the MAPb(Br0.16I0.84)(3) SC photodetector exhibiting the highest responsivity and the MAPb(Br0.12I0.88)(3) SC photodetector displaying the highest detectivity due to fewer trap states and suppressed ion migration.
