Numerical analysis of a second-grade fuzzy hybrid nanofluid flow and heat transfer over a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet

Muhammad Nadeem et al.

Summary: This work investigates the heat transfer features and stagnation point flow of Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) hybrid second-grade nanofluid through a convectively heated permeable shrinking/stretching sheet. The study focuses on the enhancement of heat transfer rate using hybrid nanofluids comprised of Alumina (Al2O3) and Copper (Cu) nanoparticles in Sodium Alginate (SA) as the base fluid. The effects of free convection, viscous dissipation, heat source/sink, and nonlinear thermal radiation are also considered.

Magnetohydrodynamics Boundary Layer Flow of Hybrid Nanofluid in a Thin-Film Over an Unsteady Stretching Permeable Sheet

Nur Ilyana Kamis et al.

Summary: This analysis investigates the computational process of heat transfer in a thin-film MHD flow with hybrid nanoparticles. The effects of various parameters, including unsteadiness, nanoparticle volume fraction, thin-film thickness, magnetic interaction, and suction/injection intensity, on the flow and heat transfer properties are examined. The results show that suction has a more pronounced effect on the hybrid nanofluid compared to injection, and the presence of nanoparticles and MHD enhances the temperature distribution while reducing particle movement in the thin-film flow.

Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) boundary layer flow of hybrid nanofluid over a moving plate with Joule heating

Najiyah Safwa Khashi'ie et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the heat transfer in MHD hybrid nanofluid flow on a moving plate. Numerical solutions reveal two possible solutions, with the first solution being the physically realizable one. The study shows that increasing the strength of suction and magnetic parameter enhances heat transfer and extends the critical value, while the Eckert number has no effect on the critical value. This research is significant in understanding the thermal behavior of nanofluids and has practical implications in industrial applications.

Unsteady Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) Flow of Hybrid Ferrofluid Due to a Rotating Disk

Iskandar Waini et al.

Summary: This study discusses the impact of unsteady magnetohydrodynamics hybrid ferrofluid flow over a stretching/shrinking rotating disc. By transforming the mathematical model into ordinary differential equations and analyzing the solutions, it is found that both solutions are stable. The research also reveals that the unsteadiness parameter decreases the boundary layer thickness of velocity and temperature distribution, while the magnetic and mass flux parameters have a lowering effect on the skin friction coefficient and the unsteadiness parameter has a supportive effect on the heat transfer rate.

Summary: This article investigates the use of horseshoe-shaped fins and perforated tape in a solar system to improve productivity and mixing efficiency. The selected modeling techniques were found to be suitable for turbulent flow based on the comparison with empirical data. The study shows that dispersing hybrid nano-powders can enhance heat absorption and thermal efficiency, but at the cost of increased pumping power.

MHD flow and heat transfer of hybrid nanofluid over a permeable moving surface in the presence of thermal radiation

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow and heat transfer characteristics of hybrid nanofluid on a permeable moving surface in the presence of magnetohydrodynamics and thermal radiation. The results show that the presence of a magnetic field and suction slows down the fluid motion, while an increase in thermal radiation parameter enhances heat transfer rate. Additionally, stability analysis confirms the existence of dual solutions within a specific range of moving parameters, with only one solution being physically relevant.

MHD Marangoni boundary layer problem for hybrid nanofluids with thermal radiation

Emad H. Aly et al.

Summary: The purpose of this paper is to study the flow of the Marangoni boundary layer on the surface embedded in a porous medium saturated by a hybrid nanofluid in the presence of a magnetic field and thermal radiation. By converting the governing model into ordinary differential equations and using Laplace transform, the influence of various parameters on the velocity profile and temperature distribution was investigated. The results show that the velocity and temperature are affected by parameters such as copper-nanoparticles volume fraction, magnetic field, injection, and radiation.

MHD hybrid nanofluid flow over a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet with thermal radiation effect

Ubaidullah Yashkun et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer characteristics of MHD hybrid nanofluid over a linear stretching and shrinking surface with suction and thermal radiation effects. The study finds that the heat transfer efficiency of the hybrid nanofluid is greater than the nanofluid, and dual solutions exist for a specific range of the stretching/shrinking parameter. Additionally, the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number increase with suction effect, and suction and thermal radiation widen the range of the stretching/shrinking parameter for which solutions exist.

Summary: The study examines the boundary layer flow problem for non-Newtonian hybrid nanofluid over a moving wedge, with a focus on the velocity and temperature profiles at different nanoparticles volume fractions. Results show that an increase in nanoparticle volume fraction leads to a reduction in velocity profile and an increase in displacement and momentum thicknesses. The study also calculates the deflation in mass flow rate and momentum flux due to boundary layer growth.
