Passive Sonar Target Tracking Based on Deep Learning

Ying Wang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a CKF algorithm based on a GRU network for improving the accuracy and stability of underwater passive target tracking. The algorithm utilizes filter-related data to train the network, performs end-to-end online learning to predict the current state of the target, and resolves the uncertainty of target motion.

Minimum Cauchy Kernel Loss Based Robust Cubature Kalman Filter and Its Low Complexity Cost Version With Application on INS/OD Integrated Navigation System

Qingwen Meng et al.

Summary: This article focuses on addressing the non-linear state estimations problem of measurement noise with non-Gaussian distribution. It proposes a minimal Cauchy kernel Cubature Kalman filter (MCK-CKF) and a simplified MCK-CKF (SMCK-CKF) to solve this problem in general non-linear systems. The robustness and time efficiency of MCK-CKF/SMCK-CKF are validated through simulations and experiments.

Distributed Maximum Correntropy Filtering for Stochastic Nonlinear Systems Under Deception Attacks

Haifang Song et al.

Summary: This article focuses on the distributed maximum correntropy filtering issue for general stochastic nonlinear systems subject to deception attacks. The calculation formulas of both the filter gains and the upper bound of the filter error covariance are proposed, with the utilization of the weighted maximum correntropy criterion. A simplified version is obtained by removing weights in the correntropy criterion. The developed filtering scheme realizes the requirement of distributed calculation and is effective in mitigating deception attacks.

Robust State Estimation With Maximum Correntropy Rotating Geometric Unscented Kalman Filter

Shanmou Chen et al.

Summary: The geometric unscented Kalman filter (GUF) is an effective method for state estimation. By optimizing the rotation angles of sampling points, a novel sampling strategy called rotating geometric unscented sampling (RGUS) is introduced to improve the filtering performance. To enhance the robustness against non-Gaussian noise, a maximum correntropy rotating geometric unscented Kalman filter (MCRGUF) is proposed. Simulations show that MCRGUF achieves high accuracy and strong robustness in the presence of non-Gaussian noise.

Variational Bayesian-Based Maximum Correntropy Cubature Kalman Filter With Both Adaptivity and Robustness

Jingjing He et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an adaptive and robust cubature Kalman filter to handle both unknown measurement noise covariance and measurement outliers. The filter estimates the measurement noise covariance through the variational Bayesian method and suppresses outliers based on the maximum correntropy criterion. Experimental results show that the proposed filter achieves higher estimation accuracy than other filters in the vision/dual-IMU integrated system.

The Cubature Kalman Filter revisited

Juan-Carlos Santos-Leon et al.

Summary: This paper revisits the construction and effectiveness of the Cubature Kalman Filter (CKF) and its extensions for higher precision, establishing stable cubature rules within a mathematical framework of numerical integration. By discretizing higher order partial derivatives, stable rules for degrees 5 and 7 are provided and tested for application in filter algorithms through various examples.

Linear and Nonlinear Regression-Based Maximum Correntropy Extended Kalman Filtering

Xi Liu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes two new nonlinear filters, the LRMCEKF and NRMCEKF, which improve the performance of the extended Kalman filter by applying the maximum correntropy criterion instead of the minimum mean square error criterion. These filters demonstrate good performance and robustness in target tracking.

Robust Constrained Generalized Correntropy and Maximum Versoria Criterion Adaptive Filters

Sankha Subhra Bhattacharjee et al.

Summary: The constrained least mean square algorithm is widely used for adaptive filtering applications, but is not robust in the presence of non-Gaussian or impulsive noise. To address this issue, the constrained generalized maximum correntropy criterion algorithm and constrained maximum Versoria criterion algorithm are proposed to improve steady state convergence performance of the adaptive filter.
