Antileishmanial effect of silver nanoparticles: Green synthesis, characterization, in vivo and in vitro assessment

Manal Ahmed Awad et al.

Summary: The study synthesized silver nanoparticles (MSNPs) using myrrh and found that they had a significant anti-parasitic effect on Leishmania major, showing greater efficacy compared to chemical nanoparticles and pentostam both in in vitro and in vivo studies. MSNPs can be promising candidates for various nanomedicine applications.

Stable silver nanoparticle doped mesoporous biochar-based nanocomposite for efficient removal of toxic dyes

Wasim Akram Shaikh et al.

Summary: In this study, biochar-based silver nanocomposite (Ag-nBC) was successfully synthesized and showed excellent removal efficiency for toxic dyes Congo red and Rhodamine B. The adsorption process was found to be spontaneous exothermic, which follows Freundlich isotherm and pseudo-second order reaction kinetic model, demonstrating promising potential for practical applications.
