Optical properties and radiation shielding performance of tellurite glasses containing Li2O and MoO3

M. S. Al-Buriahi et al.

Summary: This research examines the optical properties and radiation shielding performance of tellurite glasses containing Li2O and MoO3. The results show that increasing the Li2O content leads to increased optical transmission and decreased static dielectric constant. FLUKA simulation was used to evaluate the radiation shielding performance, revealing the attenuation factors and transmission factors for the glass samples. A comparison with commercially available glasses confirmed their usefulness as transparent shielding materials in various applications.
