Risk Factors and a Scoring System to Predict ARDS in Patients with COVID-19 Pneumonia in Korea: A Multicenter Cohort Study

Summary: This study investigated predictors of ARDS in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia and developed a score, CAPS, which includes age, C-reactive protein, and the area of infiltration on a chest X-ray, to predict the development of ARDS. The CAPS model showed high sensitivity and specificity in predicting ARDS in COVID-19 patients.
