Harvesting krypton isotopes from the off-gas of an irradiated water target to generate 76Br and 77Br

Hannah K. Clause et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the feasibility of gas-phase isotope harvesting from irradiated accelerator cooling-water and successfully collects Kr-76 and Kr-77 to generate Br-76 and Br-77. This technology has the potential for wider applications.

Aqueous harvesting of 88Zr at a radioactive-ion-beam facility for cross-section measurements

Jennifer A. Shusterman et al.

Summary: Isotope harvesting is a method to collect long-lived radioisotopes for subsequent research. The study demonstrated the process of collecting Zr-88 and Y-88 from a water target and using them for neutron-capture cross-section measurements. The results showed good agreement with previous findings and revealed the largest resonance integral measured for Zr-88.
